  13. Ms. Ranjini Ramanujam: Arjuna Award recipient for her achievements in badminton in special category. It is the highest honor conferred on a sports-person by the President of India. She is ranked number II in the World rankings in the game and is daughter of Mr.M.J.Ramanujam and grand daughter of late Prof.M.J.Narayana Iyengar.

Oustanding Academic Achievement by young Mandyams

  1. Mr. Vaibhav Rajan, son of Prof. Sridhar Rajan, secured First rank in the Karnataka State PUC examination in April 2000, obtaining 97.2% marks. He also got a First Rank in the Country, in the Entrance examination of the Birla Institute of Technology(BITS) Pilani, for BE(Hons) in Computer science.
